OKLA. CITY – Last month, our Joy 4 Kids campaign filled more wish lists than ever before. One family in particular really pulled at our heart-strings.
When we heard Carl and Marolyn Bradley coudn’t afford Christmas for their 4 foster children, we got busy seeking donations for the family.
We tossed their old swing set and Statuary World replaced it with a brand new one.
No one is more thrilled than the three-year-old foster boy who has cerebral palsy and can’t walk.
“We looked out the back door and he said that’s my swing,” Marolyn said. “That’s all he could say, that’s my swing.
We also surprised the family with two car loads of presents.
Meanwhile, the Bradley’s continue to pray for more miracles.
Carl suffered a heart attack on Christmas morning.
Because of his disability he hasn’t worked in over a year.
The family owes thousands of dollars on their mortgage.
Now the bank wants to evict them.
“It would be devastating. I could not stand to those two separated,” Marolyn said. “It would break my heart because we’re all they know.”
These foster parents have spent three decades of building a home for children who need one.
Now that home is on the line.
Marolyn says, “I’m putting it in God’s hand and only he can answer prayers.”
