SPENCER, OKLA. – We first met Faith Viewens about two years ago.
The 7 year-old Spencer girl was born with a rare disorder.
Her mom, Lynn, was desperate for a reliable van to get her to school and doctor appointments.
“It just hurts because I’m doing the best I can,” she said. “I don’t want nobody to feel sorry for me. I just need that help, need that push.
Their story tugged at our hearts.
With the help of several local charities, including the Nathan Shinn Foundation, we surprised the family with a new handicap van.
The van was a game changer for the family, but in recent months, Faith’s health started to deteriorate.
Wednesday morning, the 7 year-old died in her mother’s arms.
To most of the world she was just a little girl with a genetic disorder, but to her mom and family, she was the world.
