YUKON, Okla. - Phyllis Heinze contacted us about the unfinished patio project in her backyard.
Back in May, she hired concrete contractor John Hildreth to pour her patio and sidewalk, but a drainage issue in the backyard delayed the project.
The two sides haven't been able to agree on anything since.
“I even offered to settle for less than what I paid him just to be done with him," Phyllis said.
Hildreth didn't want to talk to us on camera but claims he was more than willing to finish the project, except Phyllis became impatient and breached the contract.
The In Your Corner bottom line is the two sides agreed on a refund of $1,200.
Hildreth claims he put a check in the mail - twice.
“I'm like, ‘I have got nothing,’” Phyllis said.
While both sides try to reach a common ground, Jeremy Anglin and his guys from Peak Concrete Services plan to get right to work.
“It's simple,” Jeremy said. “It will be as simple as forming it up, grating it out, getting it into the right grate.”
Phyllis is tickled pink.
“Thank you,” she said. “Thank you very much.”
