DEL CITY, Okla. - A widow from Del City says she was recently taken for $300 by a paving scammer from the Pine Bluff, Arkansas area, Allen Jeffrey.

He’s the same guy the state charged with fraud in 2014 for allegedly committing a paving scam in Payne County.

Court records show he cheated an elderly homeowner out of thousands of dollars.

Jeffery was charged, but never arrested.

He fled our state and has been on the run ever since.

It appears he's back in our area going door-to-door soliciting business.

Jeffery goes by the name J Boys Blacktop.

The Better Business Bureau put out a warning about his company.

Over the years we've exposed fly-by-night pavers operating under similar names.

The Blacktop Boys were wildly over-charging customers for shoddy work, including Hellen Lawson and her husband.

“It's terribly maddening and frustrating and makes me angry at myself more than anybody else that I fell for it,” she said. “I mean we're old enough to know better.”

There are so many warning signs to look out for.

If the pavers are going door-to-door claiming to have leftover materials from a previous job it is a scam.

Allen Jeffery was last spotted in the Del City area.

If you have any information on him call us and authorities.
