OKLAHOMA CITY – Metro drivers were in over their heads Friday night.
We found cars and pick-ups stalled out on 23rd St. beneath the Broadway Extension overpass.
There was more standing water downtown where flood waters tried to swallow up a Jeep Cherokee.
It was a wet night for many, including business owner Ryan Vivar.
Several inches of water flooded his private gym.
Across the street at Goodyear Tire and Auto, more mess to mop up.
Shop owner, Pat Smith said, “It literally has filled this place up like a swimming pool.”
Smith told us it was the worst flooding he’d seen in three decades.
While we were inside the shop his phone was ringing off the hook.
He said, “I think customers wondering about their cars.”
