OKLA. CITY – William Forney wanted a new metal building for his trucking business.

Contractor Lance Compton of Compton Metal Buildings seemed like a safe choice, but then the job stalled.

William says the contractor quit showing up and answering his phone.

There were also problems with the work that was completed, including whole walls that weren’t finished.

William hired a second contractor to finish the job, but it wasn’t cheap.

Now he’s stuck making payments on a loan, cash he says Compton stole from him.

Oklahoma City Police are investigating.

Court records show Compton has criminal convictions in Cleveland County for domestic assault and battery and kidnapping.

Compton’s currently serving a 7 year suspended sentence, which means he was convicted of his crimes, but gets to serve his sentence outside of prison.

William hopes authorities find Compton before he does.

He has his own idea of a fair punishment in mind.

“Probably shouldn’t say,” William said.

If Compton violates his probation the state can ask the judge to revoke his suspended sentence and throw him in prison.

The contractor’s phone number is disconnected. He’s hiding out somewhere.

If you know where he is, call our hotline.
