Update 3/31/16: Derek Verdalette’s still locked up in Oklahoma County for violating his probation.

This week the accused Craigslist scammer went before the judge without an attorney and entered a plea of not guilty to fraud and concealing stolen property.

He’s still under investigation for running that garage door installation scam online.

Verdalette’s upcoming hearing is set for next month.

We plan to be there.

UPDATE 12/18/15: Derek Verdalette was picked up early Friday morning and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.

His latest troubles stem from a pair of previous fraud convictions.

We know a judge threw him back in jail for violating the terms of his probation.

Since our last update, he's also facing new drug and theft charges and still under investigation in several towns for stealing deposits for garage doors.

We'll keep you posted on his string of cases.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Our In Your Corner team has new information involving accused scammer, Derek Verdalette.

At least three people claim he's running a scam online.

He's accused of stealing deposits for garage doors.

“His only advertisement is on Craigslist,”  said customer Jason Jump. “He's a con man.”

Verdalette's serving out suspended sentences for several fraud convictions.

We checked, and his probation officer hasn't heard from him in months.

Since exposing Verdalette on NewsChannel 4, there are new complaints.

Randy Franklin runs a local office for a national moving company.

Verdalette hired one of Randy's crews to move his belongings.

“[He] asked for payment and, when he tried to make payment, the credit card came back as lost or stolen,” Randy said.

We know Verdalette's still trying to solicit new business online and still using the name Oklahoma Overhead Door Company.

Ron McFarland's company is Overhead Door Company of Oklahoma City, a red ribbon distributor.

He said people keep calling up his office complaining about Verdalette.

“He does not work here, never has,” Ron said. “I don't even know the guy. I just know people call in on him, and they think it's us, and it's not.”

Verdalette's number of dissatisfied customers keeps growing.

The accused scammer is a wanted man for failing to report to his probation officer.

If you know where he’s hiding, call police.
