MIDWEST CITY, Okla. - Authorities finally nabbed Edward Cooper.

The career criminal was convicted of exploiting Earl Crain and his wife, a family we featured on In Your Corner three years ago.

Cooper took a plea deal in the case.

He's serving a 7-year suspended sentence and has to pay back the Crains the money he stole.

“$250 a month until he pays back the $4500."

Here's the thing:

The payments were supposed to start in April, but Cooper vanished, again.

“That means I'm still out some money,” Earl said.

Cooper didn't make one payment.

His relatives are notorious for traveling across the country targeting families with their contracting scams.

Cooper keeps getting caught.

We uncovered more convictions in Texas and Indiana, but most of his crimes are white collar, so he never stays behind bars for long.

We know the Oklahoma Department of Corrections let him transfer his probation supervision to Texas where he was living, but authorities down there can't find him now.

“If he's not going to pay me or anyone he owes whatever the judge, he [should] be in jail,” Earl said.

Since Cooper violated his probation, a new arrest warrant was issued in Oklahoma County.

If you know where he's hiding, call us and authorities.
