OKLA. CITY - Trevor Schuman says he had no idea he was working for a convicted scam artist.
“When I showed up that morning he got my social and a picture of my license and everything,” he said.
Trevor and two other former employees tell the In Your Corner team Brian Krafton is running a car detailing and headlight restoration business now and stiffing employees, again.
“I could tell there was something shady there,” Trevor said. “We got paid on Thursdays and come Thursday I started getting calls from everyone saying hey, he's not paying us.”
Trevor says Krafton drove him to used car dealerships along South Shields Avenue instructing him on how to make a hard sell.
Krafton's still on probation and serving out prison terms.
In the past he's been accused of ripping off a church.
He’s posed as a charity, run roofing scams, a bogus credit repair service, and not-for-profit job placement agency.
Krafton’s facing three new felony counts, accused of writing another bogus check and trying to defraud his insurance company.
His pending cases in Oklahoma county keep getting pushed back.
Krafton’s still advertising his services online and using Craigslist to recruit job seekers with bogus perks, like a 401k, life insurance, paid vacation, gym membership, and housing assistance.
Prosecutors could ask a judge to revoke Krafton's sentence, which could land him back behind bars. We'll keep you posted on the case.
